whoa. just as I was finishing up a bit of revision, my rucksack started twitching violently across the room... i think it might've upset someone's chessboard--no one was sitting there, though. i managed to pin the bag down after a bit, and it stopped moving completely, so i've no idea what was making it go.
i suppose it could've been the seeds i bought in hogsmeade saturday: they're from the sebastiana pavoniana shrub, native mostly to mexico--or so the bloke selling 'em told me. apparently the seeds tend to roll about when they fall from the shrub, so maybe they were just doing that while mixed in with my books?
i think i'm for bed. colin creevy's been down here grinning like a fool and it's somewhat unnerving. i never thought a spoilt game of chess would be something to be so happy about.. |

i feel a bit sneezy.
now that we have quidditch back, that's all anyone can really talk about. i was looking forward to hogsmeade more but now i guess i'm not, after the protest and all. quidditch is more exciting, especially since this is the last year that i will know the people who play.
i was reading my potions text tonight and i still don't understand why newt eyes congeal when there are more than ten in a copper-based substance. if anyone does. |

i think ive caught a cold because when i stand up too fast i feel rather dizzy
thankfully there was some pepper up potion being passed around
i am not sure if the protest really worked but if not that's bollocks
if we let him take away the things we love, he's won anyway.
it will take weeks to dry out my duvet
does anyone know a decent drying charm? |

my parents were thinking of taking a holiday somewhere quiet and away from gran
i didn't think we'd get our own house instead.
it's rather nice, with a bedroom just for me and a guest room and the living room walls are yellow, not dark blue like gran's house.
my mum and dad are still fixing up the house but my mum invited her cousin molly and her family over for dinner so maybe i will see ginny and ron too?
luna would you like to come?

so much has happened that i don't even really know where to begin.
a few weeks ago when everybody disappeared, i guess harry decided that he was tired of waiting for everybody because his head (and only his head) woke me sometime in the middle of the night. i've never snuck out before. but we hiked and hiked for ages back up into the mountains behind hogsmeade and then suddenly there they were and there she was and i couldn't think but harry could and draco distracted her and then harry had this spell that could trap her and i had my rememberall and i can't remember much afterwards except that my hand was burning.
then i remember that i was at the hospital wing and pomfrey kept giving me chocolate and my hand was wrapped up but i felt fine, just tired. and she wouldn't let me leave so i opened my journal and saw that my mum had written.
i didnt think her handwriting would look like that.
i didn't think i'd see her handwriting.
and then there was my dad and its all still so odd and i'll be living with them this summer instead of staying indoors with gran always making sure i am ok and bringing me toast with no jam and knitting and not going anywhere.
i snuck out again to see them but i couldnt get past the waiting room for a while. i don't think gran was there but that bagman bloke was. i dont think he went in though, i think he just sat there.
i am so glad that school is very nearly over.
and you. i dont know what to say. well i do but i don't. and i know that didnt make sense but i expect you'll understand |

right so i know this book bites when you haven't written in a while, but honestly must it bite so hard? gran will not be happy with the blood staining the hem of my robes.
happy birthday professor sprout!!!! i've knitted you a beanie -- i spotted professor dumbledore in the hallway and he said he would lay the package at your place in the great hall so i hope you like it and i hope it fits
i would say something congratulatory towards draco but i suspect that he would probably try and hex me or something as what happened is not really a congratulatory event. though it is a good event in a very certain light. or something
hermione you can help tutor me if you like. i am not picky about the subject |

my gran sent me an owl today with some extra quills and the like. i dont know how she knew i was snapping the tips off all of mine. i think she might be a seer but then i guess all grans know this kind of stuff i mean when i was little she told me she had an eye in the back of her head so she could see what i was doing at all times and i didn't think it was real but maybe she was telling the truth after all. she also sent biscuits and some horrid pudding if anyone wants it
does anyone understand the last dada lesson? i should know it but i accidentally dropped my notes in a puddle and now i cant read them because the ink is all smeared
apparently there is a quidditch match after hols. i saw the quidditch team practising when i was walking down to the lake and they looked quite good doing all these flying manouvers (i sometimes wish i could fly, it looks rather fun). go gryffindor!
when is the next hogsmeade weekend? i want some ice mice and maybe some droobles best blowing gum |
